On July 10/11, 2010, the 3rd German Scottie Weekend took place.
Inspite of the heat, a large number of Scottie fanciers got together in and around the Festhalle in Battenberg (Eder). The hall actually helped us all to stand the extraordinarily hot weather. And even though all events were outside, most of the dogs (and their owners) participated. And the very good results proved that our Scotties are real diehards - and heat-resistant, taking advantage of a bit of cooling down and relaxing in the hall in between.
The different sales stands in the hall, particularly those with nice Scottie articles and collectibles. were also visited by many interested customers.
In the evening, everybody enjoyed the dinner buffet and followed the presentation of the winners of the fun events as well as a little auction in support of the Club. The day finished with a public Scottie viewing of the football worldcup game (small final) - with a nice result as well!
The Scottie-Special on 11. Juli 2010 had an entry of 45 and was therefore again the show with the biggest entry this year. Our judge, the Finnish Scottie breeder Reijo Portala (Kennel “Quaint”), arrived with his wife already the day before and enjoyed very much watching our fun day events. He judged the 40 dogs presented very thoroughly, as well as the special competitions (groups and Winners).
